海印僧团由二部僧众组成，从^上远^下凡导师创立至今已有十七年的历史。海印僧团秉承佛陀成立僧团之精神，从而深入研修佛法，并积极弘扬佛法，冀使一切众生能离苦得乐。基于现代商业社会背景与佛陀时农业时代背景之不同，僧伽不仅是佛教的代表，也是肩负振兴佛教重任之志士。

因此，作为培育僧伽之摇篮，海印僧团具体规划出十六年的僧伽生涯系统。其目的在于培育僧众为人天师范，承担如来家业，为道前基础，也是菩萨道的实践。僧伽生涯规划着重在心态及态度上的转变，内心空性之验证，从中实践菩萨之六度及四无量心。

Sagaramudra Sangha Order was founded 17 years ago by Master Yuan Fan and is established on both the bhikkhu and bhikkhuni monastic order. Based on the spirit of the Buddha’s establishment of the Sangha Order, Sagaramudra Sangha has been relentless in its effort to study Buddhism in depth, and to propagate the Dharma to alleviate the sufferings of sentient beings.

The difference in the agricultural environment of the Buddha’s era and today’s modern commercial society, the Sangha does not only represent Buddhism; but shoulder the responsibility of upholding Buddhism.

Hence, as a Sangha nurturing cradle, Sagaramudra Sangha order has specifically established a 16-year training programme. This is to ensure that its Sangha is properly trained and equipped

to be an effective teacher to all sentient beings and to shoulder the responsibility of propagating the Dharma. This programme also forms the basis of the preparatory practices and to let the

Sangha put the Bodhisattva’s Way into practice. The programme emphasises on establishing the right attitudes, right mindset, the realisation of emptiness and to practice the Six Paramitas and the Four Immeasurables.
