Sagaramudra Buddhist Society was established with the primary purpose of propagating the teaching of Lord Buddha with the hope of alleviating the suffering of all sentient beings (as a result of their ignorance, attachment and ill-will) and to improve one’s mind, enhance one’s character, quality of life and purify our society..

The society also plans to set up training centres throughout this region to provide a conducive environment for practicing BUDDHISM.

 To achieve our mission, the Society will

a) conduct Dharma classes and disseminate the teaching as widely as possible;

b)  cultivate Sangha Talents;

c) impart meditation techniques and knowledge to all our members and participants;

d) undertake publications of Buddhist books and journals;

e) giving guidance on the Buddhist practice in daily life;

f) educate our members on the importance and significance of Buddhist sites, ceremonies and celebrations.

g) perform charitable work and social services for the benefits of the underprivileged and needy; and

h) offer scholarships, education subsidies and bursaries to deserving candidates to further their studies in the hope that they will contribute and play an active leadership role in the future development of Buddhism.

海印学佛会成立的主要目的,在于弘扬佛陀的教育,使众生能从无明,执着和痛苦中得到解脱出来, 从而提升人的品格修养, 生活品质乃至净化社会风气.

学会目前正计划成立一个区域佛教培训中心, 以便为信徒提供一个优质的学佛环境.

a) 举办佛学课程, 把佛陀的教育发扬光大.

b) 栽培僧才.

c) 传授静坐技巧及知识.

d)出版佛教书籍和刊物

e) 推行生活化的佛法

f) 为信众讲解佛教仪式和庆典的典故及用意.

g) 通过慈善及康乐活动, 利益贫困和较不幸的人士.

h) 颁发奖学金和助学金于学业优异和有志求学的学生, 让他们有机会继续升造, 以便日后为社会及佛教作出贡献.
